horizontally. This would mean that no gaps would have to be
left between the rows to prevent shading, thereby allowing a
greater number of panels to be installed, albeit with a lower
performance ratio (87% instead of 97%). This would in turn make
it conceivable to design an umbrella consisting exclusively of a
thin film of horizontal glass acting as a sunshade and producing
electricity, i.e. a different realisation of the same architectural
intention.
