DEPRET HOUSE

This is an unrealised project for an immense residence,
a veritable ‘palace’ or ‘folly’, designed in the architect’s
most classical vein. Here he has adopted the principle
of a narrow construction in the manner of a French
Renaissance château. The slender, north-west-facing
volume opens onto a vast landscape.
