The drawings and cross-sections of this unique sketch
foretell, in their own way, the design of the renovations
for the Residence Palace in Brussels
(01-494)
and for
the House of Glass in Lommel
(01-469)
. The combina-
tion of torus-shaped and ellipsoidal elements, the stair-
cases located inside a cone-shaped envelope and the
visual link with the neighbourhood’s historic structures
bear witness to a great geometrical virtuosity.
