Signalization, lighting, technical rooms, and shelters are installed after the placing of
the glass in the canopies. Only a small area of the platform had to be closed off.
The installation of the small canopies A, B/C and D outside the station cover can
be done independently from the construction works underneath the covering, at
times when the railway tracks are not in use.
The tiling of the platforms is done at last.
Despite a logical progressive construction plan and a clear overview of the
availability of the different building areas, unforeseen circumstances have always
been a factor in the ongoing need to adjust and redirect sequence and order of
execution. Unforeseen circumstances are for instance time delays in the supply of
heavy equipment due to traffic jams, limited availability of cranes, poor weather
conditions, changing availability of the tracks, among others ….
