The twin arches are mounted on each side of the tracks. The various parts of the
twin arches are first assembled on the railway bed. Next the structure is lifted by
means of a building crane, brought into place by pulling cables and elevated work
platforms, and bolted to the columns.
The roof structure, ventilation shafts, the nails and the footbridge span the railway
beds. The covering of the roof structure between two lateral tracks is put into
place from a mobile work platform, located above the high tension wiring. The
mobile work platform reaches from one twin arch to the next. During the main
canopy construction, sideway assembly is executed from these very twin arches
via mobile platforms. Safety nets prevent objects and construction parts from
falling on the areas underneath.
The structure of the small canopies underneath the cover is welded to the columns
on site. High-quality welding with a high degree of complexity was executed by
skilled professionals.
