The amplitude and the wavelength of the profile match the required bend radii as
well as the other finishing materials used elsewhere, such as all the water seals
of the roof. The plates are connected to the main supporting frame allowing the
transference of loads without restricting their free dilation.
The steel plate is perforated (30%) for acoustic reasons. Optimum acoustic
efficiency is attained by providing a perforation consisting of holes of 2 mm on an
isometric grid of 5 mm on the sides of the grooves. The underside of the profiled
steel plate is painted with fire resistant paint with a fire resistance level of 1 hour.
The grooves are filled with mineral wool wrapped in black PE foil (rock wool
+/- 20kg/m³ or rock wool +/- 30kg/m³). Then, the damp proof screen is placed. The
insulation is pressed between the steel plate and the profiled aluminium bands to
avoid cold surface condensation.
