Concerning the assembly, three different situations are possible. The most
favourable situation is working from the available free tracks. This is possible round
the clock if necessary. The second situation is the execution of works above tracks
that are out of service and disconnected during the day. In this case platforms
are partly closed off. The third situation is working above tracks that are out of
service and disconnected at night, in which case the entire platform is closed off.
For economic reasons, working at night is avoided as much as possible.
The competition design took these preliminary constraints into consideration
from the outset by opting for a light structure that can be assembled quickly
and easily. The various elements of the construction are assembled and treated
in the workshop. They are designed to allow transport to the building site per
train. The dimensions of the remaining construction elements were determined
by the limitations of road transport. Several small building cranes can assemble
components at a high rate. Small building cranes have a small action radius, which
is essential given the relatively small space between two bays.
