Philippe Samyn’s projects are founded on a highly structured
professional approach.
The team comprises not only the architects and engineers of the
parent company, Philippe Samyn and Partners, sprl-bvba, architects
& engineers, hereafter called sai, but also those of its sister companies,
of which it holds 30 per cent of the capital and on whose boards of
directors it sits.
The main sister companies are Setesco (executive director Jacques
Schiffmann) from 1986 to 2006, and since 2007 Ingenieursbureau
Meijer (statutory director Jan Meijer) for the buildings; fti (Flow Transfer
International, executive director Jean Michiels) since 1989 for special
technology; and Air sr (statutory director Domenico Olivari) since 2003
for fuid mechanics.
sai is currently directed by ten shareholder associates, listed below

Since its creation in 1980 and 1 December 2007, the Philippe Samyn
and Partners team has logged 1,850,767 working hours.
An exhaustive chronological list of collaborators can be found on
the following pages. Until 1993, models were created by Ivan Gilbert,
since 1994 they have been the work of Francis Van Haye - ama.
Under the provisions of the Belgian legislation of 1 July 2007, sai has
been a member of the Order of Architects of the province of Brabant
since that date.
On 31 December 2007 sai’s share capital was 1,425,000 € and its
stockholders’ equity 2,142,000 €. The company has 2,600 m2 of offce
space.
The company has had iso 9001: 2000 certifcation since 14 February
2000, with re-certifcation on 14 February 2003 and 14 February 2006. It
has been iso 14001: 2004 certifed since 17 December 2007.
