The “Residence palace” is the most important and comfortable
building of the continent,divided into flat for families.Its motto is where
the guest is king. It consist of 2.200 rooms distributed into unfurnished
flats, furnished flats, shops, and public premises such as restaurant,
theatre, swimming bath, garage, etc…
Unfurnished flats:
Of rooms 8 to 22 rooms, 14 different sorts, these flats consist of drawing
rooms (2 or 3), dining rooms, bedrooms (1 to 7), bath rooms W.C. 2 or 3,
Kitchen with pantry, scullery, yard for service, servants’ rooms with hot
and coldwater ,central heating,entrance and service-stair,the bathrooms’
are all fitted.
Furnished flats:
Drawing–room, bedroom, hall, cloak-room, bath-room, to be let weekly,
to be let fortnightly,to be let monthly.Special arrangement for long stays.
Meals are served in the flat from the restaurant by request. The prices
include linen, care, healing, hot and cold water, taxes, watch and hall
keeper services, use of the lift, chamber-maid attached to the lending-
floors.
Furnished flats for families:
Lounge room, drawing-room, dining-room, 3 bed-rooms, bath-room,
and pantry,to be let monthly,including heating,hot and cold water,lifts,
door, keeper, and taxes.
Furnished rooms:
called guests rooms reserved for the guests of tenant.
Restaurant la Pergola:
Partly closed in terrace on the 11th floor.Splendid panorama of Brussels
and surrounding country, service in the flats.Gala dinner, Thé Dansant,
Bar.
Theatre:
Permanent performances by Paris-Theater-Troupes.
Foyer:
Lecture hall with screen for cinematic projections.
Meeting rooms:
For parties and banquets, company meetings,
Swimmings bath:
Turkish bath,massage,mecanotherapy,fencing and gymnastic hall under
medical control.
Bank:
Managed by the “Société Financière Belco- Canadienne”. All banking
operations, safe.
Garage:
200 cars, oil, tyres, accessories, cars on hire by distance or time.
Shops:
Hairdressers, tobacco, newspapers, florists, sweets. Show cases for the
first class shops.
