Study of the morphology of the elements of the atrium’s façade:
In order to optimise the sections, we used the stress-ratio method (SRM), which is calculated
as follows: all identical sections are considered (e.g., 100 cm²) and the resulting forces are
calculated. The sections are subsequently adapted to the applied force. The forces are
once again calculated in the system with the adapted sections. This iterative process is not
convergent for the majority of hyperstatic systems, as is the case here. Fluctuations are
nonetheless so minimal that we can almost refer to a fully stressed design.
